Insightful, fun-filled and informative walks about history, society, architecture and what Hungarians are actually like. Walks are focused around the best sights Buda and Pest have to offer. The goal of this walking tour is to discover and experience our city through the eyes of the insiders, to bring to life streets, bridges and statues and of course to have fun. Tour ends at the Fisherman Bastion area with useful orientation about thermal baths, museums, places to go out, places to eat out, and how to avoid the tourist traps in Budapest.
Please be forewarned that this public tour is not suited to fully satisfy history or architecture buffs’ need for information. If you have a decidedly greater depth of interest in Budapest, please book a fully customized private sightseeing walk where you can make sure to spend time with the guides, and is based only on your areas of interest, needs and pace.

Tours have no fixed prices, the guides work for their tips only, so there is a big incentive to do a great job. They are passionate about their city and culture and that is what made these tours really special. Each tour takes about 2,5 hours but you will not get bored because they are funny, competent and they take your questions seriously.”
“Went on this walking tour on my first day in Budapest and so so glad that I did! Was the perfect opportunity to get a bearing on the city, where things were, what I should go and explore further, where I should eat etc. The guide was lovely, energetic and full of information. Was good to get an idea of the history of Budapest (condensed in to a couple of minutes) and to get a feel for the local culture. Tour covers a vast area of Budapest but was at a nice steady pace, could even catch the lift up to Castle Hill if you’re not interested in climbing the stairs – although I recommend that you do take the stairs the view is amazing! Our tour lasted for over 3 hours so plan enough time. Met some lovely people on the tour and really helped with the rest of my trip! Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Budapest, get it done on your first day as the information you’ll hear will come in really useful for the rest of your time in Budapest and you’ll know where you’re heading!”
