WHAT WE DO ON OUR BUDAPEST BY NIGHT TOUR
There are a number of reasons why we can recommend you to take this Budapest by Night tour, let’s see a couple of them. First of all, if you arrive to Budapest in the afternoon, most of the other free walking tours had already been departed, but you still would like to make the best of your evening and see some of the city during your first free couple of hours in the Hungarian capital city.
Our Budapest by night walking tour starts in the early evening and lasts around two hours. The timing works perfectly if you want to explore the city comfortably and still have time afterwards for dinner or to experience Budapest’s famous nightlife. During the walk, our local guides are happy to share recommendations about restaurants, cafés, and interesting places to visit during your stay.
The route and pace are designed to be relaxed and enjoyable. The distance is relatively short and the walk includes several stops for storytelling, photos, and learning about Budapest’s history, culture, and everyday life.
Itinerary
We start at Elisabeth Square, next to the Budapest Eye Ferris Wheel.
From here we visit Vörösmarty Square, one of the main meeting points of the city and home to many festivals and seasonal markets.
We continue through the downtown area and the famous Váci Street, where you will discover historical buildings, hidden details, and even some unexpected street art.
From the Danube Promenade, we enjoy beautiful evening views and see the illuminated Buda Castle across the river.
Our next stop is Fővám Square, home to the historic Great Market Hall, one of Budapest’s most famous landmarks.
Finally, we cross the Danube on the Liberty Bridge and arrive in the area near the Gellért Baths.
This neighborhood is known for its lively atmosphere, cafés, and cultural life. Here, the tour ends, giving you the opportunity to continue exploring the area or ask your guide for local tips and recommendations.
If you are visiting Budapest during very hot summer days or colder months, this Budapest by night tour is also a comfortable option. The walk is shorter than our Original Budapest tour but still offers a compact and informative introduction to the city.
You will learn about Hungarian history, culture, cuisine, and urban legends while seeing some of the most atmospheric parts of the city center.
Even if you have already seen some of these places during the day, experiencing Budapest by night offers a completely different perspective. The illuminated buildings, quieter streets, and evening atmosphere create a memorable setting for discovering Budapest with our knowledgeable local guides.
